The product

NoPixel is canonical reality infrastructure for sport — a layered Sports Operating System. Reality is captured once as a continuously-updated, time-synchronised, confidence-weighted digital twin of the match. Broadcast, officiating, analytics, betting, fantasy, coaching, and highlights all become renderers on the same authoritative truth layer, rather than each independently reconstructing the match from a video feed.

What we set out to solve

Today every downstream system rebuilds the same match from scratch. Broadcasters build production systems, officiating vendors build ball-tracking, data companies build event feeds, betting and fantasy operators build their own scoring — each recreating reality independently, each incurring latency, each introducing inconsistency, each with its own version of the truth. The architecture is a survival of analogue-era constraints (limited-range cameras, satellite transponders, fixed OB trucks) that compute, sensors, and IP networks have since dissolved.

How it actually works

NoPixel is organised as ten layers (L0–L7), each with a defined contract. Layer 0 is governance and federation trust — rights, auditability, human override, compliance — because the further upstream a system sits, the more catastrophically a trust failure propagates. Layer 1 captures state, not video: a sensor hierarchy of truth sensors (ball-tracking radar, UWB tags, IMUs, official scoring) above context sensors (cameras, mics, LiDAR, weather) above derived intelligence, all locked to a single PTP/SMPTE-2110/ST-2059 time domain. An event-sourced Reality Engine emits immutable, hash-chained events carrying value + confidence + provenance + timestamp. AI production agents (director, replay, graphics, commentary) consume that truth under human supervision — agents consume truth, never define it. A multi-protocol distribution fabric (LL-HLS, LL-DASH, WebRTC, SRT/RIST, scene-graph streaming) feeds every renderer. The economic unlock is Edge One — a venue node delivering federation-grade capture and production at 10–20% of traditional OB cost.
